Covering Antsy McClain: Ron Howard’s Brother by Brian Stark

(Editor’s Note: As Antsy McClain has become more popular around the United States, and even in Europe, covers of his music are popping up on CDs, YouTube and Facebook. During the month of June we will feature videos with Antsy McClain music in them. Some are well done, some not so much…but YOU can be the judge. We will post them here.)

Today’s Cover Artist is Brian “Armadillo” Stark from Thousand Oaks, CA. By day Brian is the Executive Director at the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy and has been a land conservation and habitat restoration professional for over 20 years.  When he’s not working he can be found outdoors in nature, working in his native garden, or playing bass with the Three Rivers Band, which has done some Antsy covers as well.

Brian has done a few cover versions of Antsy McClain’s music on his own and is the only person we are aware of to do a version of the Antsy classic “Wreck of the Bookmobile,” which we will feature later. You can see his work on his YouTube Channel.

Sit back and enjoy Brian doing a cover of “The Bountyhunter” by Mike Cross and then “Ron Howard’s Brother” by Antsy McClain.

  1. You guys really made my birthday special this year on 9/19 at Don Quick Oats. My brother drove up from Thousand Oaks to be there and he was hoping to see Ron Howard’s Brother. Then you brought him on stage to sing it alongside the band. I was in stitches laughing and he was super happy to be up there under the lights with you guys. Now if we could just remember that last verse!
